Support > Breast Cancer Drug Financial Assistance Program Breast cancer has become the leading cancer threat for women in Hong Kong, a situation which is not to be ignored. One in every 20 females may have a chance to develop breast cancer in her lifetime. In 2007, there were about 2,700 new cases of breast cancer, or 8 women being diagnosed every day in Hong Kong.*
Prescription drugs can become a big financial burden to many breast cancer patients. The Breast Cancer Drug Financial Assistance Programme is a joint effort between Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation (HKBCF) and pharmaceutical companies dedicated to helping breast cancer patients who are financially challenged by their medication costs.。
