Patient Support Group

HKBCF patient support groups are professional led by oncology nurses and social workers.  Participants exchange information, share experiences and coping strategies, and make friends.

 

Relaxation techniques for stress reduction are introduced.

 

Time:

Cantonese sessions


1. Patient Support Group (A Date on Wednesday)
:

For newly diagnosed patients with stage 0 to 3 breast cancer, aged 40 or above.

Meets every Wednesday 2:00pm to 4:00pm

2. Young Patient Support Group (Forever Young and Beauty Group):

Newly diagnosed patients with stage 0 to 3 breast cancer, aged below 40

Meets every Thursday 2:00pm to 4:00pm

3. Advanced Breast Cancer Group (Phoenix Group):

Patients with stage 4 breast cancer or with recurrent breast cancer.

Meets every Friday 2:00pm to 4:00pm

4. Local Recurrent Group (Rainbow after Raining Group):

Local recurrent breast cancer patients

Meets monthly (prior arrangement is required)

5. Survivors’ Group (Sunflower Group): Breast cancer patients/ survivors who have completed their treatments.

Meets monthly

Meet every month (prior appointment is required) 2:30pm to 4:00pm
