Together We Care: Lymphoedema Health Support Programme (Supported by The Board of Management of the Chinese Permanent Cemeteries “2025 Annual Donation - Life Education Project”)
Lymphoedema is a common side effect experienced by breast cancer patients. According to data from the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation's Breast Cancer Support Centre, approximately 30% of breast cancer patients develop lymphoedema, particularly those who have undergone lymph node dissection and radiation therapy.
Although breast cancer-related lymphoedema cannot be completely cured, 80% of cases can be effectively managed with expert guidance and regular lymphatic drainage exercises. Therefore, early identification and intervention are crucial to mitigating and relieving lymphedema.
The Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation provides the following care support services to help people to help prevent, detect and early diagnose, and manage breast cancer-related lymphoedema.
- Lymphoedema Health Talk
